Trevor's birthday celebration

Trevor turned 8 years old when we were at my parents house in Idaho. We were in Idaho last year for it as well and I think we will keep up the tradition. It is so fun to be with cousins and grandparents on his birthday. We woke him up with the usual breakfast in bed. He asked for blueberry pancakes that were stacked like a cake, sliced pears, milk and of course the annual chocolate breakfast cupcake.
Trevor got a DS for his birthday.
If you look closely, you can see a bunch of letters decorated with ribbons and bows in Korynne's hand. The night before Trevor's birthday Korynne asked me for some cards and bows, so I found some for her. The next thing I know she is silently working in one of the bedrooms on making a bunch of cards for Trevor. It was so cute. The other kids found her making the cards and wanted to join. Each of the kids wrote sweet notes and decorated them for Trevor to give to him for his birthday. It was so, so cute.
We always have a small stack of presents waiting for the kids to open in the morning when they first wake up.
His birthday actually fell on the same day as their pioneer celebration so it made planning easy!! :) We ran the race first thing after breakfast. Then we went to play games and eat popcicles with my parents ward.
Then we went swimming.
The kids jumped in the bouncy house.
We watched the parade and the kids caught way too much candy.
Ashlyn and Korynne bought friendship bracelets.
Corbin being silly...
We came back to Nana's house for cheesecake and ice cream.
And we finished the night with a sky full of fireworks. The kids fell asleep in the blankets before anyone could see them and no attempt to wake them up to watch would work! It was an awesome day.
