We can't believe that Ashlyn is 7 years old already! Time flies! Ashlyn still LOVES dogs. Like a million times a lot. She loves stuffed animal dogs, real dogs, dog books. dog coloring books, dog pj's, jokes about dogs. You name it, she loves it. She is currently writing a book about how to take care of dogs because we told her we would get one when we move this summer. She loves her dance class. She LOVES her swimming class, almost more than she loves dogs. This is her new passion. She is a great swimmer. She isn't as into painting nails this year. She does occasionally put on make-up but not like in the past. She loves to read. She is into the Amelia Bedelia books. She loves to hang out with her friends. She likes to make up dog and person stories and play made up games about these things with her friends. She is still the most compassionate child I have ever met (don't get me wrong...she definitely has a diva side that we are working on;)). But she told me the other day that she doesn't like it when Corbin and Trevor fight because it makes her sad. If someone is left out she includes them. If they are hurt she goes over to make sure they are ok. If not everyone gets a treat, she gives up her own so that they can have one. As you can tell, I adore her.
