Corbin was Jango Fett from Star Wars, Ashlyn was a butterfly and Trevor was Anakin from Star Wars. Corbin kept telling everyone he was Jenga Pet!! So funny! If we tried to correct him, he'd say, "NO! I'm Jenga P-E-T!

Friend Halloween Party

Our friends threw the cutest indoor trick-or-treat party on Oct. 30th. The kids had a great time.
Meghan dressed up in a witch costume and read a fun Halloween book to the kids.

The story talked about making a spider and snake pie, so Meghan had all the kids load plastic spiders and snakes onto a pumpkin pie and then she topped it with whipped cream and served it. The kids loved it.



Meghan and Ty put long Halloween posters on the doors and the kids trick-or-treated from door to door in their house.

Halloween Party at school

Trevor had a Halloween Party and Parade at school. They do it every year and every year Ashlyn and Corbin come along for the fun.

Ashlyn was going to walk in the parade but Trevor didn't want to hold her hand. She was pretty upset...found out later that she was squeezing his hand too tight!

We played a word scramble game in Trevor's class and ate yummy Halloween treats.
Dave gets to come every year to the party too.

More Learning Garden

The kids painted sticks and decorated them with their names and pictures that they drew. They put the sticks next to their flowers in the flower bed. We also made pine cone bird feeders. I love all of these kids!

Preschool with Reagan

Ashlyn does a preschool in the afternoon with another girl her age that is in our Ward. Her mom and I switch off teaching/having play dates. It is so fun and Reagan is a doll.

Trevor is funny too

But I'm going to focus on all the cute things he has done lately. Trevor loves to leave me and David love notes. The other day he told me that I had a note right outside my door and that I needed to read it and then he snuck off to bed. (it's showing me that snuck is not a real word but at this point I don't care :)). Anyway, I went to find the note and on it, it said, "Dear Cathy, I love you so much. By the way, you are #1. Love, Mystery Man."
hahaha! So funny and cute. Last night he left a card on our pillow that read: "The awesome mom and dad! D+C=LOVE (written in the middle of hearts) The inside of the card said, "Dear mom and dad, I love you guys so much. You guys are so nice. Love, Trevor" Then he drew a picture of Dave and I on the next page with hearts rising from our heads that ended in a conversation bubble that read, "It all started with two falling in love." lol He is so dang cute.

Today he drew a picture of Ashlyn sitting on our back deck with her butterfly costume on. Pictures of all 3 masterpieces to be scanned and uploaded when my laziness for scanning subsides. :)

Today I read the kids a book about firemen. The book talked about what types of fires firemen put out. At the end Ashlyn asked me how house fires get started. So I explained electricity to her and how sometimes it can cause fires. Then we talked about candles and how they can cause fires and about how playing with matches can cause fires and she goes, "Oh yeah, and don't forget about Dragon's mom. They start fires too."
