General Conference Cinnamon Rolls

October 2, 2011
Every year for conference we go to the Loveless's for Conference cinnamon rolls. And they are worth every pound!

Blossom Time

Not to be confused with the Blossom Festival. This is an outdoor amphitheater that features music artists and orchestras throughout the summer. It is so cool because you can sit on the lawn above the stadium seats. We bring blankets and hang out until the show starts. This night we met friends there and Blossom time featured a showing of a bugs bunny cartoon and the orchestra played the background music for the entire show. I thought it was clever and cute. The kids loved it. There were fireworks after the show. It was so fun.

These pics were taken with Dave's phone so they were a little blurry.

Ashlyn's dance class

Ashlyn and Anela are taking dance together. So fun!

BOOOOO!

I don't know who made up this booing tradition, but I LOVE IT. What a cool way to spread love and fun throughout the month of October. The kids love getting surprised with a Boo bag on our doorstep full of goodies and candy and then they spend days trying to figure out (by interrogating friends) who left it. And then they love putting together a basket of goodies to ding-dong doorbell ditch other families so that they can do the same. Each year we get better and more stealthy at getting away without getting caught. I always send Dave out of the car with the kids to doorbell ditch while I man the car because I am too big of a chicken!

Bowling

We had so much fun bowling with friends the other night. It was funny watching the kids bowl and watching the parents make a silent wish for their kids to roll the bowling ball hard enough to get it to the end of the lane. :) I scored one of my top scores ever at 68. But I wasn't the biggest winner of the night. Someone bowled a 41! (2 of my friends bowled pregnant! both are due soon..I on the other hand, have no excuse for my score:))

Ashlyn has been doing this really cute and funny dance lately...here it is in photos. It doesn't do it justice.

School Halloween Carnvial

Every year our elementary school puts on a Halloween Carnival. It is a ton of fun. For the past 4 years a friend and I have been in charge of the cotton candy machine. By the end of it, we are covered from head to toe in cotton candy. We get asked regularly throughout the day if we know that we have cotton candy all over our clothes and hair. We laugh because, believe me...we know. :) Anyway, a friend (who has kids that are friends with mine) took my kids around the carnival while I worked the cotton candy station. They had a great time. Here is Ashlyn and Corbin after getting their faces painted.
