lego video

Trevor got together for at least monthly meetings with friends to make a Lego Video.  They had so much fun creating story lines using lego figures and taking pictures and trying to learn how to turn their still pictures into a video.  I love their creativity. I will post pictures later!

Watching a session at Kirtland

When we lived in Cleveland, we were in the Kirtland Stake.  We tried to take advantage of visiting the sites at Kirtland as much as possible.  We would always take the kids to one session of General Conference at Kirtland.  We would watch it in the Historic Kirtland movie room.

I had this quote in vinyl lettering on one of our walls in our home.  I didn't know it was posted at the Kirtland sites as well.

General Conference Box

This tradition just doesn't get old with the kids. This is one of those thoughts that just popped into my mind when thinking of ways I could get my kids excited about general conference sooner than just the weekend of. We get the conference box out (with all the goodies inside) a week early and they kids have a countdown until General Conference weekend.

They get to open the box on the Saturday morning of the first session.

APRIL FOOLS!!!--mustaches for ALL!

Our family LOVES (I mean really loves) this holiday.  The kids get so excited to do a joke on Dave every year.  Last year we filled his tube of toothpaste with blueberry pie filling.

This year we put salt on his toothbrush.  Dave and I decided to do our own prank on the kids so while they were sleeping we drew mustaches on their faces with eye liner (thank Meghan Loveless for the fun idea).  It was SO FUNNY when they woke up.  Ashlyn was mortified.  She wouldn't even let me take a picture of her and we had to wash it off her face right away (sigh...girls :) ).  The boys LOVED it. Trevor kept his on all day.  Haha.

Making Tomb rolls

We do this every year. I feel like the kids are out growing some of our traditions. This may be one of them! :(

Easter

We had Easter dinner at the Jones' house.  Good times!  Love the Jone's family!

Ward Easter Egg hunt

There were A TON of eggs at the Ward Easter Egg hunt.  The kids had a great time watching a short movie and then hunting for eggs!
