Parade the Circle

 June 9, 2012
This was a total bust. I will not go again. It was SO HOT! And pretty lame. EXCEPT for the part that our friends were in. They were awesome!!! Anyone from Cleveland can put together a theme and create costumes to go along with it and then be in the parade. That is what makes it so unique and fun. Anne put together a group and it was really cute and it was fun to see them in the parade.

Waiting for the parade to start...
Lots of funnel cake. Yum. My favorite.

A jelly fish
A bird.
These are our friends from our ward.  Their theme was family history.  So fun!

Nana and Kaiden visit--first stop, Hinckley Lake

Oh man, I am so far behind on this "daily family life journal" blog. :)  So much for the daily part of that.

June 8, 2012
My mom and nephew, Kaiden, came for a visit in June and we had SO MUCH FUN with them here.  Kaiden is one of Trevor's best buds and they had a great time. The first day here I took everyone to Hinckley Lake.  It doesn't disappoint.  We were first taken to this lake many years ago by our friends, the Elmore's.  We go at least once a year now.  There are canoes and paddle boats and swimming.

We made Ashlyn into a sand mermaid.

 These girls are just darling!

Last day of school

June 7, 2012
Corbin and I met Trevor and Ashlyn at school on their last day.  We checked out their sidewalk chalk self portraits and then headed to the pool like we do every year.  It was so much fun.
Everyone went to ice cream afterwards, but we went to the airport
instead to pick up my mom and nephew.
It was a great day!

Trevor's play

June 6, 2012
Trevor's class performed the story of Captain Hook at his school. It was so cute. I loved every minute of it. Each kid got to choose what part they wanted to play and without a doubt Trevor wanted to be the crocodile. His part was definitely for comic relief and all the kids were laughing and cheering as he slithered through the audience and tried to pretend bite unsuspecting students.
The teacher wanted him to wear a tight green spandex suit but Trevor was not having it (I DO NOT BLAME HIM!!)  I told him he didn't have to wear it.

Corbin, trying on Monkey ears...
Trevor eating captain hook, aka Gabriel.
Trevor trying to sneak up on the audience.  The kids were LOVING it!
